GROWTH

DESIRE - causes you to grow. Let me explain.

My dark friends taught me that there are ONLY two basic motivations: Fear & Greed.

Desire to avoid trouble = FEAR

Desire to gain/absorb good stuff = GREED

So If you grow, it is because you want to increase yourself to meet a challenge and avoid trouble - FEAR

Or, you grow because you are chasing some goal and you want to increase yourself to be sufficient to get it and enjoy it - GREED ___________________________________________________________________

My light friends, don’t teach this so much, . .

but there are two OTHER basic motivations: Faith & Love

Desire to act/obey despite the risk of trouble = FAITH

Desire to give/produce good stuff = LOVE

If you grow, it is because you put yourself out there and you accept a challenge to stand firm and face risk of possible trouble and potential loss – FAITH

Or you grow because you put yourself out there because you want to rescue someone or give someone something good – LOVE

Summary - Dark "I will achieve it" . . . "I will handle this"

For dark growth, you increase yourself up front, to try and meet a challenge or some goal.

Goal accomplishment usually involves greater control over yourself or something.

Dark usually advances along a wide front. It grows by getting bigger over a wide area, like a group consensus.

Summary - Light "If I perish, I perish" . . . "I give it to God. God can handle this"

For light growth, you diminish or risk yourself up front, and you grow in confidence and trust on the back end, after the goal has been met.

Goal accomplishment usually involves giving up control and/or some amount of possible self sacrifice.

Light usually advances along a narrow front like the beam of a flashlight. It grows from a small individual source shining brightly.
