It's Tough To Be A Goddess
It's Tough To Be a Goddess.
-The problem with witches and goddesses. . .
Seriously it must really bite to be a goddess.
I mean, consider what it would be like. Here you are all ascended and powerful, elevated above the masses, effective and charming beyond belief . . . and there's nobody worthy to date you!
No worthy female avatar or demi-goddess would consider lowering herself to be submissive to a powerless muggle. . . That isn’t going to happen! Rich muggle women don’t even do that with impoverished muggle men. . . C'mon. Women want to marry up. If you are a weak and powerless muggle man - well you can just go do one, and die. . . Get lost . . . away with you. . . before she’s tempted to say “Off with your head.” See, it’s like that.
After all, what value are muggles, other than amusement? You can levitate them up off the floor and crash them into each other, and laugh, that’s about it. . . Appropriate their stuff, mess with their bodily functions, make them do political things, or embarrass them for your amusement. . . Meh.
It’s easier for pagan male god’s, don’t you see? Because they are naturally dominant in love relationships and satisfied with/by that. . . Love is giving, and it’s easier to give if you’re bigger and you have more. . . That’s why love is like water, it flows easily downhill, but doesn’t trickle back up very well. . . I mean, how do children show that they love their parents? They submit to them. How does a wife show she loves her husband? She submits to him. How do humans show they love God? They submit to him.
Submit, submit, submit!
Hell, nobody becomes a powerful Goddess to submit !!! It just ain’t happening. Forget that! So it’s a trade-off. As a pagan goddess, you get god-like powers, but you can just forget about love and romance. pffffft.
If you are a goddess, you can’t date muggles and be satisfied. Nope! They aren’t worthy, so their affection is meaningless. . . And that only leaves you with pagan male gods, and they are just as arrogant, egotistical, craven, and immature, as you are. . . and there are way less of them! So what’s a girl goddess to do?
Why do you think Pagan gods and goddesses are never ever shown as couples? Because they can’t stand to be around each other, that’s why. Think about it. Goddesses are found either alone at home, or alone out in the orchard with the birds and bees doing crafty stuff, or alone admiring their own reflected beauty in some lake somewhere.
I tell you, it’s tough, very tough. . . But forget goddesses for a minute. Just look at witches. Young beautiful witches mostly all end up looking like horrible monsters for probably the same reason, right? Like goddesses, witches get a little power, but no love and romance. Witches might dominate and control a few things, but that’s just not satisfying for them. . . So, they get these deep frown lines in their faces that turn into wrinkles, and squinty eyes, and tightly pursed lips. . . Their unkept and messy hair starts to fall out, and they gain weight, so they start wearing hats to cover it up, and long black dresses or pants. . . Gosh, living with power, but no love and romance, really takes a toll on a woman!
That’s why people always refer to the icy heart of a witch. Because even if they started out with good intentions, they usually end up as icy-hearted monsters. . . I tell you, it’s all because of a lack of love and romance. They just can’t get no satisfaction!
But that’s the trade that they made, right? When they said; “Who needs love, when you’ve got power? “
